Mimosa Fortune and her mother, Wanda, lead an unconventional life, touring the globe and living off Wanda's dubious talents as a clairvoyant and tarot reader. They seldom settle anywhere for longer than it takes the locals to suss out Wanda for the charlatan she is. When they arrive in Whitby, Mimosa hopes that this time they may be staying for good. She's quirky and self-assured, and makes friends easily at the local school. She does tarot readings too, but specialises in other people's love lives - she loves to matchmake! But one day Mimosa sees a real apparition. It's a boy called Quill, who lived in Whitby centuries ago, and he needs her help. Mimosa has never had a genuine psychic experience before ...and she's not sure she wants to start now!
