Welcome to the Hatchards Children's Book Club, where we will be celebrating several books and their authors each year. Our current choice is The Extraordinary Voyage of Katy Willacott by Sharon Gosling.

Growing up among the ferns and flowers of Kew Gardens, Katy has no desire to sit still and be a lady – she wants adventure and to sail the high seas. When a meteorite lands in Brazil and an expedition is being mounted to find it, Katy knows this is her chance. Disguising herself as a boy, Katy sets off to follow her dreams and to prove girls can do more than sit at home.

Write a short review (maximum 60 words) with your name, age and home town and send it in to us by 30th June. Open to all ages – feel free to put your age as ‘over 21’. A selection of reviews will be chosen to feature in our shop newsletter and two lucky winners will be selected at random and sent a copy of the next book.
