I laughed and sighed a lot over this read. Mark and Kate (not Katie, please) were such wonderful characters to meet and I truly felt like I was a third member in their friendship by the end of the book. This is a delightful look at LGBTQ teenagers muddling through love, attraction and self acceptance. Mark was frustratingly wonderful in his clueless devotion to his best friend, and the unrequited feelings had my heart breaking for him. Kate's indecisiveness and nerves over Violet were endearing and familiar, and I just kept rooting for her. Such a sweet story

This book is incredible. Inspiring. Beautiful. Heartbreaking. It's not often I read at home anymore - my partner in crime takes my being absorbed in anything as the best opportunity to talk at me. I made an exception to finish this wonderful novel. So worth it! I can't wait for release date so I can start sharing the love!

You Know Me Well is a heartwarming story about self acceptance following Mark and Kate, two LGBTQ kids celebrating Pride weekend in San Francisco in their own ways. Mark and Kate aren't friends at school, even though they sit together, but a chance meeting in a gay club makes them realise how much they have in common. I really enjoyed this super cute little book about falling in love and coming out. It's always lovely to read something LGBTQ that doesn't end in despair! The book was written alternately by Nina LaCour and David Levithan; fans of both authors will find much to like here. Thanks goes to My Kinda Book for sending me a copy of this!

When I receive this book I wasn't 100% sure if I was going to like it. I normally prefer much darker novels. However, once I realised that not only was a book about friendship but that it was openly representing the LGBTQA+ community I was incredibly happy and couldn't wait to read the book. Not only does it show that friendship is an amazing bond that survives fights and fallouts but it also shows that it can be something that brings people together for simply as long as a week and changes lives. This book also shows the joy and the beauty of the LGBTQA+ community, emphasis on COMMUNITY. The sense of togetherness in the novel is enough to bring tears to my eyes. I am so thrilled that there are coming of age books that are being targeted at teens within LGBTQA+, especially those that are having trouble with there identity.
