This book is so accessible. It doesn’t use unnecessary jargon but also doesn’t talk down to the reader (whatever age they are) It makes the complexity of being a teenager easier to understand. The activities are useful and the key points are easy to understand and use. I really do recommend this book to anyone. Teenager or not

I loved this book and would recommend it for children/teenagers and their parents - in fact anyone. Paul's chatty style and the illustrations make it a book which is not only easy to read but also easy to digest. The positive attitude without being patronising makes it the sort of book that is most needed in today's world and 2020 in particular.

I bought this for my 13 year old, she found it very useful and got really engrossed in it. She was talking about it for days afterwards. Paul McGee has put some brilliant advice, facts and sayings together here, I'd reccomend it for all kids approaching or in their teens. It is a self-help book, yes - but it doesn't feel like one - in a good way!

I read this a few days ago and have already found moments to recall some of Paul's advice when dealing with difficult situations. The concept of 'Don't Forget Your Beachball' is just one example of being able to quickly bring to mind a mental tool to help you react more fairly to someone else's opinion. Even the humour of it helps to dissipate any frustrated feelings. I know that this book will help teenagers to grow up with a range of valuable devices, ready to use for all those terrible (and not so terrible) things life has to throw at them, especially considering what we have all been dealing with this year.
