“This will surprise and captivate you!”
(Hardback)
by Lesley Davison
This book will surprise you……well it surprised me! If you had told me it involved time travel, I may not have read it - and I’d have missed out! It’s slightly confusing initially but once you get into it………you’ll be hooked and it continued to surprise me all the way through! It starts with a murder committed by a teenage lad in front of his mother and father! He stabs a man to death. Then the magic begins! It’s captivating, enthralling and full of twists and turns that you could never have predicted! Highly recommended - five stars! My thanks go to Gillian McAllister, who never disappoints, the publishers and NetGalley for an advanced reader copy of this unusual but highly recommendable book!

It was the first book I read by this author and I fell in love with the storytelling and the style of writing. A compelling, riveting, and gripping story. A page turner that kept me reading and I had to keep on reading because I wanted to know what was going to happen. A great plot, excellent character development. Highly recommended. Many thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine
“Just wow!”
(Hardback)

Wow! This was an absolute page turner of a read with so many twists and reveals as the story progressed or is that regressed? Starting at current day but moving backwards day by day I was right there with Jen as she was initially stunned by her son murdering a stranger outside their house then moving back to work out why this happened and couldn’t even be prevented. It was amazing how the reveals were drip fed making her question almost everything she knew yet there was more and more she needed to understand before she could return to the present and when it all unfolded I was mind blown. This isn’t the first Gillian McAllister book I’ve read but for me it’s definitely the best in fact it’s up there in my top ten thrillers easily, awesome read.
“A cracker of a thriller”

Wow! This is a cracker of a thriller and a unique storyline as it’s one that’s told backwards! I’m recommending you don’t read too much about it, just trust this amazing storyteller to take you on a fantastic, exciting, mind blowing ride. Jen is married with a teenage son, for whom she is waiting up one evening. As he arrives home, there’s a terrible event that throws Jen into a nightmare - especially when she wakes the next morning to find herself somehow in the past. I loved it.
“Worth At Least 5 Stars”
(Hardback)
by John Shaw
Well this book warrants at least 5 stars. I enjoyed every minute of it although I had to forget even far-fetched reality to follow the retrospective story and resolution. This book fits nicely into my trilogy of 'time travel' books - Groundhog Day (assuming it is a book and not just a film) where time stands still on the same day, Before I Go To Sleep where time moves forward but the lead character retains no memory of what happened earlier and Wrong Place, Wrong Time where time goes back each reaching more than 20 years ago when Jen and Kelly first met. There are good twists and surprises throughout and I did wonder how the book could be brought to a sensible conclusion. Suffice to say the ending chapters are very, very good and for once I did happen to guess Tom's Girlfriend earlier role. So, a hard book to put down and well worth reading
