“The pages truly turn themselves...”
(Hardback)

When I first opened the book, for the life of me I could not put it down. The story is so gripping and you really feel the emotions of all the characters involved. James doesn't hold back, he's made such a thriller that once you start, the pages turn themselves and your mind is totally encapsulated. It is such a great read, even if you're not into crime-related books this one is definitely an exception and I shall be expanding my James Patterson collection soon!

James Patterson, like John Grisham has always been up there for me, the story is so captivating it's rather painful to put it down. The intensity this story brings is truly unbelievable and you will not be disappointed. I'll leave it at that, pick up a copy today or tomorrow it'll be a true investment! :)
“Truly amazing!”
(Paperback)

I was hooked from the very first page, it's so hard to out down because you just want to find out what's going on! You really feel the emotions of all the characters. James Patterson puts in so much effort and you really get to see that in each of the books in the series.
“Better than 'Run for your Life'.”

This outing from Patterson and Ledwidge is much better than the second novel in the series. The motive of the kidnapper is certainly unique and is not at all obvious. It is, as usual, fast-paced, laced with some great humour and knife-edged suspense. I did, however, spot the twist regarding one victim (not difficult to do so really!!). The tension between Mike and Mary Catherine reaches a nice boiling point and having read the 4th book before the 2nd and 3rd (!!!) I know how this pans out. A fun, quick book to read which doesn't stretch the mind too much. I still prefer the Lindsay Boxer series though.
“A Fantastic Thriller”
(Paperback)

Worst Case is the third book in the Michael Bennett series and was first published in 2010 by James Patterson. This is a well written thriller and is an enjoyable read. Jacob Denning is an NYU student who had been grabbed off the street without anyone noticing and when his family find out they inform the police. Dunning also happens to be a member of a wealthy New York Family. Michael Bennett is now part of the Major Case Unit and has been drafted in to run the investigation. As with any other kidnapping in the United State it brings in the FBI and in this case Agent Emily Parker appears as if by magic. She very quickly gets on the right side of Bennett by putting the deputy mayor back in their place. The more Bennett works with Parker the more he likes her and not just professionally. As the investigation progresses more children of the wealthy are being kidnapped and neither Bennett or Parker can seem to connect those kidnapped with what the kidnapper(s) may or may not want. Then there is a kidnapping which happens that does not seem to fit the pattern there is something odd about it. This is a great story which will keep the reader hooked from the beginning to the end.
