Having read the last two books that Horowitz has written I knew this was going to be great. I was right! I read it so quickly it was hard to put down and before I knew it I finished it. I can imagine Daniel Craig as Bond and the way it was written my imagination was away with it. Loved this book not as good ending as the previous two but still another book written by Horowitz that made me read cover to cover in a matter of several days!

A excellent book, thoroughly enjoyed the read, and didn’t want to put the book down, the only disappointment was coming to the end and realising that this could be the last Bond book by this excellent author

James Bond is timeless. He can live now in the far past,recent past and even in the present that is what makes any book or film about so good and rewarding to read. Mr Horowitz is a classy writer and no better author could have been picked to continue the Bond legacy. I have always been a huge Bond fan and still lap up anything i can to further my knowledge of the subject.

I put off reading this third 007 book by Anthony horowitz for some time as I was unconvinced by the plot outline. However I've finally read it (and in only two days) and have to I enjoyed it. It is perhaps not the most action packed bond novel but it is very well written with a plot that is intriguing enough to keep you reading. Horowitz captures the feel of the Fleming originals well and his charactisaton is excellent. The book has a dark feel, both in tone and setting (a morbid Russia of the 1960's) that reflects bond's character at this point in his life. Another good bond book from horowitz.

I have been looking forward t receiving this book for quite some time now but was disappointed when I got it. Please don't get me wrong it is a page turner - however what starts of as quite a good plot idea quickly falls short and the climax of the novel for me seems rushed with an ending that just sort of ends (imagine a kid rushing to finish his English coursework and you've got it). Not to spoil the ending for readers but it could have easily made a story within itself. I get the cliff hanger idea Horowitz was going for but it didn't work for me. However all-in-all a good read for any Bond book fans but nowhere near the heights of Fleming's best or Amis' Colonel Sun. One plus is it is good to see Bond in the eastern bloc for a change (after all this is the Cold War).
