We were given this as a beautiful gift for our almost five year old. Despite not being in the recommended age group for this book he is mesmerised by the wonderful illustrations and loves us reading to him about the wildlife in cities around the world. As a family it has made us appreciate the wildlife in our own city

Wild cities is filled with beautiful illustrations and fascinating facts. While aimed more at the 9-12 years market, my 5-year-old loved looking through it and having me read it to him. It definitely opened up conversations not just about what animals live and thrive in cities, but also regarding humanity's impact on the land they live in. A great gift book also.
