I expected to find this book a bit daunting, but I was completely wrong! It’s not a text book about science at all, but a very well written account of how Dr Ranganath has studied our brains, and why we remember some things and not others. I found the accounts of case studies fascinating, and had no idea of how much can be retrieved from testing and examining individuals. I’ve thought, that since I’ve got older, my memory has got worse, but in fact I have been reassured that this is not the case at all. I liked the way he compared results of some of his tests with things I could relate to, and having enjoyed his book, I sincerely hope that he ‘s mastered surfing! Yvonne Retired Bookseller
