This is a suprisingly moving graphic novel from the pen of Grant Morrison. Taking three genetically-engineered animals and having them escape their military purpose, this is a brilliant read. The three animals are clearly terrified of what has happened to them and the situation they are in and you'll be cheering them on until the end. It's truly remarkable and is a great addition to the list of graphic novels I use to prove that "comics aren't just for kids".

The concise writing, insightful direction, and breathtaking illustration of WE3 combine to create a unique and compelling reading experience. This novel grips you: the story prompts you to read quickly while each lovingly crafted panel tempts you to linger for longer. Grant and Frank have devised a unique layout for the spreads that attempts to tell the story from the animals’ perspective. The gore is hyper-realistic and ubiquitous, so not for the faint of heart. Brilliantly done, I’d highly recommended it.
