A must read for any Bernard Cornwell fan. Following the story of Uhtred and the warrior chronicles this is the final book of the series and it does not disappoint! Truly amazing author and a gripping saga.

A great ending to a fantastically written saga. It's a shame that there will be no more Uhtred adventures!

What a finale to the `Last Kingdom`. If you have not read the previous 12 I would suggest you do before reading this. I have the full set many signed and during lock down read 1-12 in readiness for number 13 and was not disappointed (who could be with Bernard Cornwell) and quite surprised as to the ending. Brilliant Wyrd bid ful araed. Fate is inexorable.

Not put it down, afraid I may miss something. Read all that I can find of BC, including all the Sharpe novels. What is so exciting is the 'facts' in the novels, what, where, when and why, its so consuming that you tend to forget where you are. It's sheer enjoyment from start to completion. Is it the end of Uhtred?

The book was straight Into the action and you were with Uthtred all the way.
