Reviews: Virgin Flight (1)
“Memorable, Perfectly Executed Romance”
(Paperback)
The Virgin Flight by E.V. Bancroft is a historical romance set around wartime Britain where same-sex couples were very much taboo. The story eloquently portrays Beryl Jenkinson’s passion for flying and her hidden affection for pilot Odette de Lavigne. Little does Beryl realise how their paths would cross in these unpredictable and perilous times.
What a page turner! A very memorable book that keeps you turning the pages and coming back for more. I literally did not want this book to end.
The character chemistry and emotional connection shines through. I was completely engrossed in their future, feeling every struggle and experiencing the highs and lows alongside them.
The meticulous research that went into this book was evident, as the scene setting effortlessly placed me amid the action. I have a new respect for a trade during the wartime I was unaware of, the ATA.
Another perfectly executed story by E.V. Bancroft. I wait with bated breath to see if there will be another historical romance from this author.
