“Another brilliant book”
(Hardback)
Another true masterpiece from one of the best authors in the UK who continues to shine in this latest installment. Couldn't put the book down until the last page.
Felt like I was living the history in this book and didn't want it to end. Can't wait for his next book to come out to continue this adventure.
Stays true to histroy
“A Must Read!”
(Hardback)
If the published copy of this book has the maps, family trees, and cast of characters that made Stormbird so good this will be a 6 star book. These will bring home the fact that it was not a War of the Roses ( a title invented by Sir Walter Scott) between Lancaster & York but a Cousins War between a group of closely related people.
It was well written and carried the reader along through a difficult period of our history. Everything boiled down to PPI Power Position & Influence. Who had it , who wanted it & what people would do to hang on to it. Battles were as much about settling old feuds as anything else and allies became enemies.
Thank you for this advance copy. The only drawback is it's now a long wait for the next one in series. Ah well...
“As good as any Bernard Cornwell book....and I admire both writers equally”
(Paperback)
Excellent historical detail
“Fabulous read”
(Paperback)
Just finished the War of the Roses books. What a fantastic and breathtaking collectionof books, putting me at the heart of the battles, plots, treachery and successes. Happy reading everyone
“Very Easy Read”
(Hardback)
I have never read anything by this author before but I had only heard good reports so I started this book with a very open mind. I found the book to have interesting characters and flowed very easily. I can now see why so many people enjoy his books.
