Reviews: Tree (3)
“A Tree For All Seasons”
(Paperback)
Starting with winter a tree stands still but, as you turn the pages, more animals and birds appear as the months go by.
An owl is first, then leaves & young bears, foxes & spiderwebs appear.
Each page the tree is a little different in colour and shades as different seasdons or time of day until the animals go away as the leaves fall and winter sets in and the tree is bare and still once more.
This is a rhyming book with 2 lines on each page. A hole in the middle for owl to look out of makes it one you may want to keep out of toddlers reach if not in the room.
A very rich, colourful book to help the understanding of seasons which teachers & children alike at primary schools and nurseries will enjoy.

“A beautiful book about the seasons”
(Paperback)
Britta Teckentrup is a favourite author of mine. Her books are cleverly constructed and filled with beautiful illustrations.
Seasons come, Seasons go tree tells the story of a tree throughout the seasons. With cleverly planned 'windows' on each page, the reader can follow the inhabitants throughout the year. Children will adore looking through this book and spotting all of the animals hidden within the tree and during the time it is possible to talk about the seasons, the changing weather and changing colour of the leaves on the tree.
This is a beautiful book which should be treasured and shared.
