A concise and factual pocket size book. Ideal to identify the facts about the area to be visited. Holiday can be much more rewarding by knowing the details of Madeira such as Taxis and fares, buses, places to eat, sites not to be missed, etc. Will also be a useful pocket book to refer to during the holiday. I have already identified when and where to go and the types of transport to use. Be prepared with this book and the holiday will be all the smoother and better for you

Although this book was published at the start of July it needs amendment. The old northern Antiga 101 road has been closed in places to use the new tunnels. The old road up to Curral das Freiras is now closed near the viewpoint Eira do Serrado, so you have to back track to the tunnel. However, overall the book is an excellent guide to the island
