This is a book about a young girl who becomes a spy in wartime France, gets captured and sent to a concentration camp. The story really starts when she returns home, although the wartime experience is always there and influences her subsequent actions. A strong female character with a troubled and no nonsense approach to her life. The many twists and turns keep you reading as does the use of different narrators. A thoroughly good read.

I was really excited when this book arrived and could not wait to start reading it. The chapters are really laid out well, entitled and not too long so if you did not have too much time, could finishing reading a chapter before putting it down. The first few chapters were really good and I wanted to know what happened next! After awhile though, it got a bit boring, not enough content to keep me wanting more. Sometimes I got confused as to who was telling the story. There were a few tidbits thrown in to keep the story going. I did stick with this book until the end, when all questions were answered, but really quickly.
