Reviews: Three Small Bones (1)
“Tense and dramatic thriller!”
(Paperback)
A device is deliberately ignited to destroy the house at 717 Maple Road. Firefighters are dousing the flames when they come across three small bones protruding from the compacted earth floor in the cellar and as Detectives Katie Scott and Sean McGaven investigate they come across more bones.
It's good to have Katie, McGaven and K9 Cisco back in ‘Three Small Bones’ as they investigate this new case that has more questions than answers. Although they normally deal with cold cases, the Sheriff has got Katie involved as there are old bones as well as some more recent all buried in same grave, and for the first time Katie’s working with her fiancé Chad who’s acting as arson investigator. The story becomes tense with drama, suspense and twists and turns as it becomes clear that whoever’s responsible intends to harm everyone involved from firefighters to crime investigators. This is another exciting book in the series that’s had me reading well past my bedtime, unable to stop reading until I’d reached the final exciting chapters as Katie puts her life at risk to catch the killer. I’m can’t wait to read book number nine.
