For all the die hard crime, mystery, thriller lovers out there, this is a MUST READ!! They say you should never judge a book by its cover, but guilty as charged, that’s exactly what I did when I purchased this! There was something about the number 13 drawing me towards the book and then the caption underneath about the killer on the jury closed the deal. The artwork illustrated on this book is equally clever and I’m really glad all these factors lived up to the hype I had created inside my head. From the first page I was hooked and I found myself whizzing through the chapters as I couldn’t wait to get to the end. One of my favourite reads to date! So much so that I am anxiously waiting Cavanagh’s next novel “Twisted” which is released April 4th 2019. I don’t want to write too much and risk ruining the plot for anyone about to read it, but if I had to use a sentence to describe this book it would be “all round bloody brilliant”!!

The Serial Killer Isn't On Trial. He's On The Jury. Steve Cavanagh delivers an action packed, fast paced legal thriller like no other. This is book 4 in the Eddie Flynn series as Flynn represents Bobby Solomon, a movie star accused of murdering his wife. This is a high profile case and early on Flynn identifies that things are not as they seem. The story alternates between the killer and Flynn as they try to outsmart each other. There are many twists and turns and the courtroom scenes are brilliant. The characters are vibrant and captivating and descriptions of events vivid. This was an addictive read, quite different and cleverly constructed. This book read well as a stand alone and I would highly recommend it.

I have not read this author before but will definitely be reading his previous books. I felt I was watching a film. It is,written with such precision, I could imagine every detail. It had me enthralled from the start and kept me enthralled until the end. My favourite book this year Thank you netgalley, Orion publishing and Steve Cavanagh for allowing me to read and review this book.

What a read! I could not put it down! Just when you think the story is slowing down, you turn the page and it picks back up again. The structure of the text, language choice and pure feels that you get from this book is on par with some of the best crime authors. You won't regret giving this a read!

A first read by this author. Absolutely brilliant!! A page turner from start to finish. Very well written. A thrilling read!
