A must read, have read other books by this author and they are all brilliant and this did not disappoint, such a great story , couldn’t leave it down , every chapter ended with wanting more, great characters and so well written, loved it , highly recommend this as a must read.

Wow! This is a fabulous, intricately crafted dramatic read that I devoured in pretty much one go. A triumph Mark Edward’s! Congratulations. A group of people who worked together years ago meet up for a dinner party and what should be a celebration quickly takes a dramatic turn when they are all forced to consider what secret was kept all those years ago and unless they confess, they will die. Six friends reunite to remember the professor who brought them together and the summer they spent creating a dating service, that never was. The night is nt what anyone expects when they're held at gunpoint as someone searches for the truth. But who really knows the truth and how far will they go to keep it. This was so good. I was hooked from the start. There's many clever twists along the way to keep you guessing. The plot is a steady build with an explosive and brilliant ending. The story is told by various people throughout the book, building up the detail through them all. It also jumps from present day to the past adding further depth. The characters are all interesting and i really liked Sophie and Will though Mia and Claude stole the show for me. A brilliant thriller.

This was an absorbing psychological thriller, with lots of twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. A varied cast of characters who kept the story going at a fast pace. A totally unexpected conclusion. Great read!!

An amazing and exciting thriller that kept me on the edge of my seat with the twists and turns. The premise seems simple enough, a dinner party is interrupted and to make it out they just need to tell their secret from the summer of 1999. Who knew just how many secrets a group could have been them? I found the pace of this book so good that I just could not put it down. The narrative moves between 1999 and the present day as the secrets slowly come to light; adding to the suspense and depth of the characters. I loved the layers to this book and it keep me guessing throughout. The story also explores some psychological themes that I found interesting and present thought provoking ideas about psychopathy and how this is viewed by others. This element especially has kept me thinking about the book long after reading it, as I ponder the little clues throughout the novel about the true nature of the characters within it.
