I enjoyed this book a lot. I am a fan of historical fiction, but I don't usually read books that are heavily set in wars. Surprisingly, I did not find the war details too dragging; on the contrary, I think they help to ground the narrative. I was pleasantly surprised by the pace and the number of years the book covers. When I first picked up the book, I thought it would be all about Turing, but there are actually three protagonists from different times that drive the story forward. I especially enjoyed the second half of the book, probably because I have lived through many of the historical events it describes. There are a few times you will find yourself going to Wikipedia to see what's real and what's not! If you like historical fiction with a bit of sci-fi, I think you will enjoy the book.
