“Brilliant - a must read!”
(Hardback)
by Tracey McVann
Wow wow wow!! I love this book! This is right up my street. There's a bit of romance, a bit of mystery and a lot of tension. It would make a great holiday read and if you are in a reading slump this book will get you out of it. I liked the characters, then I disliked the characters, then I sympathised with the characters, this book takes you on a journey. Well done to the author. I thought it was fab.

An interesting plot with The Switch being two women swapping partners and the drama and suspense that creates. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more books from this author. Recommended to those who enjoy thrillers with a romantic touch to the story.
“Gripping and disturbing”
(Hardback)
by TrishAM
Oh my goodness, what can I say about "Switch", this story was both gripping and disturbing, It is difficult to write a review on this book without giving away the plot but her goes. Elena and Adam are a young couple living in a small apartment and desperately saving for a place of their own, they get along well despite Elena doing everything that needs doing in the house and the personal side of their marriage leaving a lot to be desired as far a Elena is concerned. When a chance comes to housesit a beautiful house in the wealthy area of Wimbledon both Elena and Adam don't hesitate to say yes. A chance encounter introduces Elena to her beautiful, sophisticated neighbour, Sophia and a friendship is born between the two couples, Elena and Adam, Sophia and Finn (who have no idea that Elena and Adam, are from completely different backgrounds). When Sophia playfully suggests playing a trick on the men by swapping partners without them knowing, a can of worms is about to be opened. Despite Elena's fears the exchanges are planned to the last detail, Elena didn't allow for feelings to get involved, she didn't know how devious Sophia could be, she didn't know Sophia had a long term plan, she didn't know that Sophia and Finn had secrets, she didn't realize the danger that she was in. This is a story that I read and at no time did I have any clue as to how it would end, it had my attention from the start to the finish. I received a free copy of this book and my review is voluntary.
“Think you know your partner?”
(Hardback)
by the moving finger writes
How well do you know your partner? It seems for Adam, not very well at all. Adam's partner Elena befriends (or is befriended by) Sophia. Not quite neighbours but close enough. The two get on rather well, with Elena a bit jealous of Sophia's life and her dashing husband Finn. When it's suggested by Sophia they play a prank on their partners by switching beds in the middle of the night, just for an hour or so, Elena is aghast. However, she relents and gives it a try. In reality she gives Finn a try and Sophia likewise with Adam. Well, you know this isn't going to end well but its a bit more convoluted than that because there is method in Sophia's madness and the switch is a means to an end. What's even more clever is that there is one massive switch which underpins the novel. I think I got an inkling of this when the couple holidayed in France together but I am not going to give anything away here, you'll have to read it for yourself. A commendable debut novel with a plausible story if you suspend your belief that you'd know your partner anywhere. For that reason I will deduct half a star but with rounding it becomes five. My thanks go to NetGalley and the publishers for my ARC in exchange for an honest review.
