I'm only part way through but it's proving a very readable book written in Tom Bower's typically engaging style. The book could be a dry recital of events but Mr. Bower has produced a lively discourse revolving round the characters at the top of the leading global oil companies. You don't have to be interested in the oil industry to understand and enjoy the book but it'll certainly open your eyes to the power plays and forces at work in this vital but often despised sector of the economy.
