Reviews: The Spook's Apprentice (9)
“Absolutely captivating”
(Paperback)
I first read this book when I was 11 and it was utterly terrifying and completely engrossing. I just couldn’t put it down! Now with the elegance in which it is written and the completely believable world in which it is set has meant that coming back to this book at 25 has been an absolute delight and I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of fantasy novels no matter your age.
“Best series ever”
(Paperback)
I have read the whole collection of 13 books and all the extra books after and I can say it’s one of if not the best series ever written. Full of action drama romance emotions and plot twists that are unexpected. I loved every single page of these books
“dreat”
(Paperback)
I love this book. Its amazing and not just for kids and teens. I started reading these when I was around 14 and am still totally obsessed. I cant wait for the nest book Alice to get released. My only critisism is that he is doing book signing and isnt coming to newcastle. Its like my worst nightmare. I started reading these after I got bored of harry potter and I think their at least 10 times better.
“The Spook's Apprentice”
(Hardback)
The only word that come to mind after reading this is WOW , a truly excellent read!
“Excellent for inquisitive and imaginative minds.”
(Paperback)
Tom Ward is the 7th son of a 7th son which means he may have what it takes to become the Spook's Apprentice.
His abilities means he is able to see and talk to all manner of supernatural beings like witches, ghasts, ghosts and boggarts. Perfect for the job of a Spook, who deals with troublesome beings.
Tom travels far from his home to begin his apprenticeship with the Spook and the beginning of his adventures, starting with befriending a young witch, which he should definitely not do.
Excellent supernatural slightly myth based books. Highly recommend for inquisitive and imaginative minds.
