A stunning collection of some of the thousands of photographs taken by James Ravilious during the period when he lived in North Devon. It evoked memories of my childhood in the 1950s and 1960s in Somerset, although James' photographs were taken in the 1970s and 1980s in the neighbouring county of Devon. So many of the characters and their hard lives reminded me of many people I knew in my village.
