Reviews: The Protest (95)
“Very Page-Turny... can't wait for the next in the series”
(Hardback)
I was so looking forward to book three of Adam's journey, and oh my goodness, it did not disappoint.
The characterisations are brilliant and so well observed, and the story was again twisty and very page turn'y
I absolutely loved this book and can't wait for book four.
Highly recommend
“Another great book unveiling the British legal system in a very accessible way”
(Hardback)
I really enjoyed Rob Rinder’s last book so was delighted to read his follow on, The Protest. This book continues with the characters we met in the previous book, Adam Green and his various fellow barristers in Stag Court chambers. The Protest could be read as a stand-alone but I think a reader would miss out on the great writing of book one. The Protest is another great story where we get insight into the machinations of the British legal system, primarily through two cases; a young girl spray painting the face of a renowned artist which leads to his death while being filmed for social media and an army case involving a battle weary soldier accused of deliberately suffocating a ten year old boy who was caught looting in what was a recent war zone. I’m hoping book three is under way as I’m already looking forward to reading it.
“Legal thriller”
(Hardback)
This is the first book I’ve read by Rob Rinder but I will certainly be buying the others with characters I certainly recognise from being in Court, legal nuance and clever plot lines this book was a delightful read. This can certainly be read as a stand alone novel or as part of the series and now I’m going in to the series
“Excellent”
(Hardback)
A brilliant read. The Protest is brilliant, fast paced, twisty and full of vibrant new characters and suspects. Adam is back and I loved every page of this new case.
“Legal Thriller”
(Hardback)
The third book in series which follows the career of young Barrister Adam Green and others in the same legal chambers. The characters are well rounded and in many cases feature in all three books so far.. In this latest instalment Adam is involved in defending a young activist accused of murdering a famous artist and also defending a young soldier accused of deliberately killing a young boy in a war zone. The author draws on his own experiences in the legal profession and takes inspiration from recent events to construct a believable and enjoyable book. I look forward to reading more of this series in the future.
