I cannot recommend this book highly enough to anyone with an interest in nature, ecology, the environment or thought provoking books. It's a beautifully written and moving book looking at exactly why nature is so vital to the human race and why we need to take steps to protect it. I found myself moved to both the depths of despair and to a state of utter joy by this book and find myself changed in the reading. An important book that is not to be missed.
