In this deeply unsettling tale between Ginger, who is a a childless privileged married woman and Velvet, a 11 year old underprivileged Dominican girl. We encounter the incredible bond that extens over a period of years. The book has got an amazing narration, split half Ginger and Velvet's story. I absolutely loved their prickly, wonderful humane relationship and the beautifully written , heartbreaking account of motherhood, relationship and over all unconditional love. I would highly recommend it to anybods who wants to read something bold and dramatic.
