Reviews: The Mapmakers (4)
“Marvellously magical!”
(Hardback)
I loved the Mapmakers as much if not more than the Hatmakers! Picking up right where the first book left off we follow Cordeila as she continues to search for her father, only to discover more about the world of making than she could ever imagine. The characters are gloriously funny, endearing and relatable. The world is beautifully crafted and has so much potential for further sequels. I cannot wait to see what Tamzin Merchant does next!
“Great second book in the series”
(Hardback)
Thank you to the publishers for this review copy.
I loved The Hatmakers so it was a complete delight to receive a copy of the second in the series.
Please note you definitely need to read these in order - so Hatmakers first.
Both books are excellent, full of magic, adventure and a touch of danger.
Very happy to recommend them both on to all, now I wonder how long we need to wait for book 3?
“Wonderful and full of magic”
(Paperback)
Loved it. A light-hearted adventure that has a lot of twists and turn. Even though this is for younger readers and some of it is predictable, I actually gasped at some of the reveals and I didn't see all of them coming.
I thought it had a lot of whimsy and magic, and was a lot of fun.
I love the whole old-timey mixed with magic, and thought it works together quite well. Wraps up quite nicely from book one but I did notice there might be a third book, and so I will looking forward to more fun adventures with lots of friendship in it.
“Gift for my granddaughter”
(Paperback)
My granddaughter, Hannah, asked me to buy her this book. She had read the previous book, by this author. She absolutely loves it. So glad I got it for her.
