Bob Comet is a quiet man, a long term librarian who was once married, his wife left him for his best friend, he ran away from home by bus and train, met 2 eccentric ladies who were actors and partners. Not much happened in his life but this book is a counterpoint to the harsh/wearing book that are prevalent now. Just reading it you remain calm and have an insight into a lonely man's life. Don't expect action, there is little of it but just a sweet little story.
