I picked this up from an experimental fiction table and I wasn't disappointed. Despite having no clear narrative arc, or 'story' each question is a narrative of its own. The questions open doors that are never closed again, only briefly blocked by the next question. The juxtaposition of some of the questions - the mundane to the earth shattering, the philosophical to the practical open the way to see how these forces interact in our everyday lives. In tone, it is intense, and feels a little like the more frantic questioning stanzas of T.S Eliot's 'The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock' but it leads the reader to really interrogate themselves, and reveals how much we do not know, how much we do not think about. Truly wonderful and a must read. It causes you to interrogate yourself, and the world around you. There are no characters, per se, just 'you' and the interrogator and this may be off-putting for some readers who do not enjoy this style!
