The best opening line of any book I've ever read - "Just when I thought my day couldn't get any worse I saw the dead guy standing next to my locker." Lol x! I only bought it because I was getting it free with my 3 for 2, and I am soooooo glad I did, I was hooked immediately! Very funny, fantastically imaginative and there are LOADS of them in the series to read! AMAZING book! I would even go so far as to say that I prefer it to the Twilight saga... x

this book is the reason i love Stephenie Meyer as an author as it shows she can write in many genres. I loved the relationship between Melanie and Jarred and although they aren't together for most of the book we are shown how much they love each other. also because this is a totally fresh idea it feels more realistic. i read this book on holiday and found it un-put-down-able and often pick it up for a re-read, it is something special and shows off stephenie Meyers talent to perfection.

Took me while to get in to this book as the beginning is quite slowly paced but once "Wanda" and "Mel" found the humans i could not put it down, and even when i did i could not stop thinking about what would happen. It is such a page turner. i would recommend it to any one who loves a good love triangle (well square). absolutely fab!

The story of The Host is fantastic. Yet another addictive book from Stephanie Meyer. The book starts with action and doesnt fail to keep the suspense and intrique going throughout. I would highly recommend it and the audio book is a great option if you dont enjoy reading after a long day but like new stories. This one is read out very well and is identical to the actual book so nothing is missed.
