“Sins of the Past” was good but this is even better. Dr Ripley is establishing a new life for himself in foreign lands. Powerful descriptive narrative and punchy dialogue make for a gripping crime thriller. Each chapter moves seamlessly into the next as the action switches from England to the Americas and back. A book full of interesting characters and fascinating locations, once started this is hard to put down. Thoroughly recommended.
