I absolutely loved this. Feisty women from very varied backgrounds teaming up to fight the patriarchy in 1920's Scotland. Missing girls, a female thief, a policewoman and a business owner are brought together when young women complain of misconduct by men at the department store they work at and when some members of a women only gang turn up dead and the deaths are suspicious, despite being labelled as suicide. The characters are all brilliant, it is a gripping story with short, punchy chapters that are narrated from 3 different perspectives. I went into this book with the author unknown, but I loved it so much and really hope there will be more.
