Yet again, Mr Cavanagh has written a belter ... definitely one of my reads of 2021 so far and one I can't recommend highly enough and even though this is number 6 in the series, don't let that put you off because you can absolutely read and enjoy this delight as a standalone. I am a fan of Mr Cavanagh's incarnation of Eddie Flynn having read a couple of his previous outings but, I have to say, this is the best one I have read so far - an absolute peach of a story that had me on tenterhooks and devouring the pages as quick as my little eyes could manage. With excellent characters, fantastic plot and side plots, perfect setting and pace, the right amount of twists and thrills, I have no hesitation in recommending this to anyone who loves a great thriller. If I am innocent but being blamed for something horrific, I would definitely want Eddie Flynn on my side! I love this series and seeing how again and again Eddie bends every law to save the innocents from the corruption of courts or villains doing dastardly things. And boy there are a lot of villains in this book! I will admit it made me mad sometimes at the racism and hate that filled this small town against Andy, accused of killing a young woman and any that might stand with him (like Eddie and his team). There are a couple decent people that shine though, even it costs them. But the rot goes much deeper with roots spreading outward to bring chaos and destruction to the rest of the state! You cannot fail to hate Randal Korn and the others! Short chapters, tons of action, and a daring twisty plan to catch the real villains (before they get rid of anybody that gets in the way, though sadly not everyone makes it) as well as save Andy kept me hooked the whole time. And it has a great ending. A great series and I have been thoroughly entertained every time I pick up an Eddie Flynn legal thriller. He is the man to back and will always pull through in the end for his clients. I am so glad I got the chance to read this!

I was super excited to get approved for this book to read I already have it on order from two other booksellers... And what can I say I thought Steve Cavanagh can't top his last book or his book before that but he just keeps delivering a better book every time..... and this was ..... just so good ... sat drinking from my I love Eddie Flynn cup reading this book every second I got. There were a few times where i was like noooo please don't let this happen and then he would just twist it all over again. I really don't want to spoil anything but if you love Steve's books then this book is for you. This book delivers a great setting a very believable plot and explosive moments of twists corruption and always expect the unexpected its a rollercoaster of legal drama that never felt hard to follow ... and it will keep you gripped at the edge of your seat till the very end and even then you will be wanting one more go ... Looking forward to the next installment now and one I hope we get a film or a Netflix's series his books are just that good.

The book is well written and is the best Eddie flynn book to date, and I find it very hard to put the book down because it's so good

An easy 5 stars for the latest Eddie Flynn novel by Steve Cavanagh. Just when you think he can't get better he kicks the ball right out the park. I love that amongst all the drama there is humour. This novel has more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. The plot is dark but informative and distressing due to the number of people killed on death row in America. Definitely one to recommend.
