This book is one of the most important books every written. As an adult working in Computational Physics in University College Cork, I became increasingly frustrated at the fact that I had to use a calculator for even the simplest computations. I knew that, that had to change, and it did when I first had the opportunity to read and practice the techniques in this book. It develops what I now call neural heuristics, in a very simple and guided way. The pace of the computational processes exposed is exactly right.
