“The catch”

holy cow. this was so good! thank you to penguin and amy lea for the netgalley arc! this is the third instalment of the influencer series and this story follows melanie, a fashion influencer with the ‘dream’ lifestyle. she’s invited to stay at a resort but after a mix up she ends up last-minute booking an inn — enter plaid-wearing lobster fisherman evan whaler and his ‘no boundaries’ family! this book has so many layers and was just so well written. it has the familiarity of the past two books so it is so easy to dive straight back into the world of the characters. the story was so unique and although it had similar vibes to books i’d read before, it definitely took its own direction (in the best way)! all of the characters made this story perfect. i’m trying to keep this spoiler free as it doesn’t publish until february 2024 so all i’ll say is this is probably my favourite of amy lea’s so far and all men need to be like evan.
“The end of the influencers”

Amy Lea’s influencer series has ended on a high and that is bittersweet. I have enjoyed this whole series so much I didn’t want it to end and whilst any of these books can be read on their own it’s a treat to read them all. Cora’s Cove sounds idyllic and the Whaler family are the perfect group of people to bring our main character, Melanie, ‘home’. A small town grumpy x sunshine romance that you really won’t want to put down, I love Amy Lea’s style of writing and she has become an author ’must read’ for me. This book has a great setting, a great romance and great supporting characters…. Definitely recommend!.
“The Catch”

I thoroughly enjoyed The Catch. I loved Mel as a character, and from when she first meets Evan, their chemistry was undeniable. I enjoyed seeing their relationship develop. All the side characters were perfect and written so well. The Catch has some of the best tropes; opposites attract, enemies to lovers, fake dating, all set in a small town and with similarities to one of my favourite films, While You Were Sleeping. This was such a cute, easy read romance. I would love to read more about Mel and Evan! Thank you so much to the publishers and Netgalley for my ARC copy.
“An easy read”
(Paperback)
by Ritu
Melanie is an influencer who is losing her influence, so a chance trip to a small Canadian town to promote a new hotel is a bonus. However, dates get mixed up, and she ends up there early, at the height of the fishing season, with nowhere to stay. Luckily, there is one Air BnB booking. But that is a bit of a let down too. The grumpy owner, fisherman Evan, is hellbent on getting her to leave until his cousin convinces him otherwise. A reluctant boat trip to spot whales, a tragic accident, and Melanie finds herself with a fisherman fiance! (Pretend, of course...). It is an enemy-to-lovers story, with a heap of family drama, some sizzling romance and a sprinkling of spice! The Catch is #3 in the Influencers series, but you can read it as a stand alone. An easy read. Many thanks to NetGalley and Penguin General UK - Fig Tree, Hamish Hamilton, Viking, Penguin Life, Penguin Business, Penguin for an ARC.
“A lovely story!”
(Paperback)
by Amelia Coulson
What a lovely book! Thank you to NetGalley for the e-arc of this book. Enemies to lovers isn’t my favourite romance trope, however I really enjoyed how this book spanned out. I definitely preferred the second half of the book, as it gave me all the feels and even made me emotional towards the end! The ending pipped my rating up to four stars as it made me feel giddy and so happy! Really enjoyed reading this after reading Exes and O’s, I definitely preferred that story but still loved this one! Definitely recommend and I can’t read to keep reading more from Amy Lea, she is definitely being added to my list of auto-buy authors!
