Asteroids crash in 12 places around Earth. Endgame has begun. Only the players & their families know the end of life as we know it is nearly over. Only one can win, only that bloodline will survive. What will be will be. This is a huge concept. 12 players dashing around the world to find their clues the alien Kepler22b has planted in their heads each clue different for that bloodline race. All have been trained in survival and some are intent on killing off the other Players, some reflect on what is happening and their role. The factor that I found different from Hunger Games and others was the historical sites this story uses as it's background. From the Terracotta Army in China to Gobekli Tepe in Turkey, to Stonehenge and India this reads as a manual on where to go travelling after you have read it. There is an underlying mystery in the symbols and clues throughout which are a real chance to win Endgame but I stuck to the story. I got a little upset with silly American Christopher following his Player girlfriend, Sarah Alopay across the world, but it did make for a great twist of an ending! OOOhh but I won't say anything apart from don't get too attachéd to anyone. Really it is brutal. Can't wait for Sky Key but will settle for the training prequel that's out in the meantime.
