Below is the review written by my 8 year old. This is a humorous story. It kept me entertained and Mr Walliams has included some very good jokes. Personally, I think this is one of his best book. I have to admit that I have read it 5 times in a row. Thank you Mr Walliams

Bought for my granddaughter for her birthday.

I love David Walliams books. Brilliant as usual. Great illustrations and wonderful story. Brilliant prices too.

Upper-class twit Lord Bertie Blunder is an inventor of limited success. When his home is threatened with repossession by the bad little man from the bank, Bertie and his eccentric family try to invent ways to raise the money required to save their cherished Blunder Hall. With help from their faithful butler Butler, a pet ostrich called Cedric, a cat, a hippo, and a car called The Baroness, this hapless bunch pull together as a family to try and make the best of things despite everything going wrong in the worst possible ways. There’s some really funny laugh-out-loud moments and I’m sure young readers will be enthralled as will adults reading aloud to younger children. For all it’s silliness and toilet humour there is a lovely sentiment and endearing ending.

Funny from top to bottom. A brilliant idea turned into a fantastic reading. Full of wit and charm. Packed with laughs, woes and lessons. About family and love. Through incredible moments that keep the suspense growing, through a wise choice of words and a beautifully sketched set of characters, the author conveys a sense of warmth, peace and harmony, all wrapped up in a book that is giggles from beginning to end. A contemporary fable that shows the depths of the human soul. And what is essential for the heart. Amidst all the blunders in the world...
