Truly beautiful story telling. Every character was full of life and I felt I knew them all. Historically exciting and interesting. I learned a lot from this book.
“Completely Enchanting”

WOW! What a book. This had me captured from the start with an unusual story and a gorgeous cover to go with it. Imagine a world where books are frowned upon by parents because they capture a part of someone’s life quite literally. Imagine not knowing this had happened to you because you have no recollection..... but somebody out there knows. This book really stood out and is fantastic, Highly recommend.

“Beautifully spell-binding...”
(Paperback)

I thoroughly enjoyed this book, it created a world that is atmospheric and full of wonder. In a place where books are banned as they contain peoples lives and memories that have been wiped and stored in these beautiful books. It was hard to imagine such a place existed, but Bridget Collins does it and does it well. I was so drawn to the characters and their stories were not what I expected. It is a beautiful love story and one that will stay with me for a long time. Not only is the book cover itself beautiful but the story is so captivating and powerful, it is definitely one of my favourite reads.
“One of my books of the year”
(Hardback)
by Joanna at Waterstones Telford
I fell in love with this book, firstly because it’s one of the most beautiful I’ve seen, (beautiful slipcover, even more beautiful hard cover, marbled end papers, purple sprayed edges - it feels like it was designed with me in mind!), but once I started reading it I was completely captivated by the story. Beautifully written, unique and enthralling, it tells the tale of a world where memories can be taken away and bound into books. Love, loss, memory and destiny and intertwined through this incredible book which I highly recommend. A definite contender for my book of the year along with Where the Crawdads Sing.
