I loved this book. It was moving , original and avoided cliches. I would highly recommend it

Barbara is such a talent. I loved this book and couldn’t put it down. Beautifully written and just a lovely story.

What an absolute delight of a book! Definitely one of my favourites this year. Funny and sad and sweet, and so evocative of rural America. You can feel the heat and the dust and feel that you're there watching Taylor and the baby settling into their new life. It's just a beautiful story, and Taylor is a wonderfully written character. And there is a sequel.....
