Tempest Rising is now one of my all time favourite mermaid book's and a really great YA debut for Tracy Deebs. The story world Deebs brought to life was amazing I loved the way she made the ocean floor and sea creatures come to life off the page. Favourite Parts - The way I was waiting with Tempest for when the ocean would claim her forever. -Loved the idea that Tiamat was made up of every evil thing in the ocean. Favourite Quotes -"The truth is" he repeated, "that sometimes-most of the time-evil wins. The warior dies and the beautiful maiden ends up suffering a fate worse than any she ever imagined" -"Sorry.I'm trying to figure out how best to describe her. Part sea witch,part dragon,part loch ness monster, I guess. And one hundred percent evil."
