“Soul Food”
(Paperback)
Stanley Tucci takes us on a journey of the stages of his life through food. This memoir is poignant and beautiful, in places heart-breaking and hilarious. Tucci writes stunningly and conjures imagery and flavours powerfully enough that it's almost like you can taste them himself. Whether a foodie or not, Taste is a delicious read.

“I couldn’t put it down!”
(Paperback)
As a genuine fan of Stanley I couldn’t wait to read this and was thrilled to receive it as a gift from my mam for Christmas.
It’s filled not only with love but with passion for life and for food, Italian food at that! The adventure he brings you on not only in past but In present is truly refreshing. I couldn’t count how many times I giggled and we all need a good amount of laughter in our lives. I just adored this read.
I genuinely hope and pray that he writes another in the near future.
If you love Food, Travel and culture this book is 100% for you! And if you didn’t love Stanley before, you’ll LOVE him after this!
“Tasty.”
(Paperback)
Stanley Tucci became a household name through his award-winning work in such titles as 'The Lovely Bones', 'The Devil Wears Prada', 'The Hunger Games', 'The Terminal', 'Percy Jackson' and many, many more.
In 'Taste: My Life Through Food', Tucci gives us a more intimate look into his personal life, as an Italian-American, where food, the preparations and the sharing thereof, around the family dining table every night, helped to shape his life.
Written in a clever blend of personal anecdotes, conversations with his mother and family recipes, this book will suit a whole wealth of people, from those looking to create amazing Italian cuisine, to those who are looking to learn more about the Hollywood star. It's intimate, cheeky and so very well written that it is like Tucci is there reading it just for you.
I read this in one sitting and will no doubt be going back for more as a huge lover of Italian food to recreate some of the recipes, and cannot wait to recommend this to anyone and everyone.
“Comforting perfect read”
(Paperback)
Stanley’s Tucci’s Taste is the perfect book. His ability to write about food and his love for everything food related is incredible and will leave you moorish. The book is filled with raw emotion, his relationship with food is intertwined with all the big events in his life: his family, his acting career, the loss of his first wife, his relationship with his second wife, his throat cancer. He delves deep into these raw emotions through the beauty of food, or in the case of his cancer, his inability to eat and enjoy it.
His revelations of what food is like on film sets in various countries is fascinating, and something I never knew I wanted to learn more about. He describes the strange and unique cuisine of Iceland, like puffin and whale.
His one true love however is Italian food, something I think we can all relate to. He beautifully describes how his mother’s cooking influenced this passion, and made lunch and dinner time in his childhood home different from other American families. He peppers recipes throughout the book, allowing you access to his wonderful and delicious world.
I couldn’t have enjoyed Taste more, Stanley Tucci is just so loveable and his warmth radiates through the book. Whether you’re a fan of his acting or interested in food, I wholeheartedly recommend this special book.
