I enjoyed this novel so much. Having read and enjoyed Cuckoo I didn't think this would live up to my expectations, but it surpassed them! I liked the main character, Peg from the very start. I was wanting her to find the answers to her questions all the way through the storyline. I found myself caring about her hugely. Other characters played brilliant roles too: Loz, Pegs friend, coped with huge amounts of discrimination so well. Peg's father and sister were very rounded detailed characters too, as was her Gran - each psychologically portrayed to make this a fantastic novel. Loved it.
