As usual I liked this book its as good as all the others I have read

Although I love fiction this is the first John Grisham I have read. And boy was I hooked!! What an amazing author! The story revolved around a will made by a wealthy man with many estranged family members, leaving everything to his housekeeper. Of course the will was contested on many grounds. Set in the Deep South of America many of the population are black. It was wonderful to read a novel where a white lawyer stood up for the rights of the black population. The storyline was very fast moving yet at the same time fantastically detailed and intricate. I was moved by the characters on many occasions, feeling strongly for them and willing them on. I most certainly would recommend this to others, and in fact have done so - they having gone on to enjoy it as much as myself.

Grisham at his absolute best. Loved every page and couldn't put it down!

I have read over 15 books by John Grisham but I struggled with a book many years ago and moved away from his books which I had previously loved. This book has had me hooked since page one and I have returned again to being a fan! So my husband and eldest daughter will now need to guard their to be read piles as they both have a couple of Grisham books in their respective piles that I could possibly read.... This book was excellent and every page was quickly turned over ready for the next, I have lost sleep and not spoken much while reading - but it has been worth it! Grisham is back on my wish list!!
