“Scrum-diddly-ump-cious”
(Hardback)
A beautifully bound book with photographs to go with individual recipes, always a must in any recipe book I use. Not to forget the odd photograph or two of Levi beaming up from within the book at you.
From the introduction Levi gives us the taste and feel of Jamaica. Giving us snippets of local beer and of course a small slice of Bob Marley. He tells us that for birthdays and Christmas children weren't given presents and toys but that fruit featured very heavily in their lives and boy does this book reflect that. Lots of the recipes are fruit filled, implying to our one track British minds, Summer recipes. Not so, think again. Levi has jammed the book full of recipes for every occasion from Movie nights to big family get togethers.
Tropical florentines were to die for, and easy enough for little hands to help in the preparation.
The Jamaican illustrations that pop up every now and then just seemed to flood the kitchen with Caribbean sunshine and made want to get into the kitchen on a dull, wet summers day in Britain.
Perfect gift for anyone who loves creating something sweet.
