Reviews: Suspects (2)
“Surprisingly dark and gripping”
(Paperback)
When the body of a murdered child is discovered in a Cheltenham cul-de-sac, naturally the residents come under suspicion. Nina and Conrad had only moved in to their new home that day, so they are getting to know their new neighbours as the police investigate, and it soon becomes clear that each resident is hiding their own secrets, and that no-one is exactly what they seem. Reading this, it didn’t take me long to become absorbed in everyone’s stories and although the novel seems to be a domestic tale, I thought it was surprisingly dark and gripping.

“Good, without being totally gripping”
(Paperback)
I hadn't read anything by Lesley Pearse before and found this enjoyable and easy to read. The day Nina and Conrad move into their new home, a body is found in nearby woods. The police soon discover that everyone in Willow Close is hiding a secret and Nina and Conrad find themselves involved in the investigation. This is a page-turner without being totally gripping.
