I'm an avid reader - I will literally read anything, but only a few of the books I read really stay with me, and Stolen is one of those. It was very much an impulse buy, and I certainly wasn't expecting to be up at half past midnight that night, unable to put it down to go to sleep. A truly fantastic book, brilliantly written. The descriptions are vivid and almost magical, and the characters are realistic and fantastically formed, especially Ty, which worried me quite a bit - finding that I liked the kidnapper more than the victim! A brilliantly written, gripping book that I've been recommending to all of my friends ever since!

This is one of the best books I have ever read, captures so much emotion and easy To understand and read, I would recommend this to everyone. This cane second the key stage 3 book awards in school, it deserved it!:D

Having lived in a North African country directly above the desert I know exactly what it’s like to feel the heat of a sweltering hot day with no shade or breeze to cool you down. Therefore I was incredibly impressed with Lucy Christopher’s ability to depict this feeling with immense detail. She delivers the emotions of the teenage protagonist with clear, detailed images and not once did I struggle to imagine what life must have been like for the kidnapped child as the author delivered the story perfectly!
