It is quite surprising how beautifully presented this book is. Good quality made! Very nice pictures throughout, great to see. The aspects of Dene Michael's life, that most people would not have known, some miracles do happen, it seems and what a big relief, but we never like to hear of anyone going through agony! People will be familiar with Black Lace and Agadoo, hence Still Pushing Pineapples, but Dene's extensive, celebrity career shows incredible achievement, over a very long duration. What an amazing brain and 'memory bank' to be able to remember, not only a massive number of songs and lyrics but apparently hundreds of jokes and a joke book could be on its way? I am getting ideas for presents, already! In summary, I am not a big reader but I was keen to own this one, as a keepsake for life (I am that way inclined), but will highly recommend for others that don't usually bother reading, this book is just a delight, it has a contents list and the chapters are nice and short, the life story, to the point, the print is easy on the eye, for the average person and it is pretty to look at, throughout, so go on, indulge. I am super-happy with mine and my overall opinion of the legendary Dene Michael, is that he is a lovely guy, he's been through a lot and I wish him oodles of happiness and less mishaps, going forward.

Just received and read my new copy of Dene Michael’s book ‘Still pushing pineapples’ - what an amazing story, this guy has certainly lived a life! With many ups n downs n twists n turns! I’d say if the word survivor should be applied to anyone it’s certainly this guy. It’s a beautifully designed snd well presented book full of hundreds of his photographs. I would highly recommend this book, and would urge you to reacquaint yourself with the music of Black Lace and discover the real Dene Michael.
