Reviews: Still Life (1)
“Good criminal story”
(Paperback)
Casey Marshall is a glad woman. She is married, successful and beautiful, without financial problems and has many friends. This changed within one minute when she was hit by a car. Although Casey survived she plunged into a coma. Surprisingly she could hear but wasn’t able to move or speak. She discovered that it was no car accident that brought her into this situation but a murder attempt. But who is the one who tried to kill her? Her situation became more critical after her husband decided to take her home as he wanted to optimize the treatment.
I enjoyed reading Joy Fielding’s book “Still life”. It is a typical crime story. The reader can feel Casey’s desperation and her struggle to survive. In my eyes the final part of Fielding’s book is the weak point. It is too obvious what will happen. Nevertheless I would buy it again.
