It is a most enjoyable book, that lead me to read several of his other books and view many of his TV shows. It is both entertaining and hard hitting at points as it narrates his life to date and the many adventures he has had.

Really good philosophy....to set out your life goals in steps that can be achieved .....a life that has triumphed over a poor start. Simon writes an easy going style that takes you on the journey with him. I bought this after watching his broadcast on a trip in Cornwall that he did.....he is comfortable with all levels of Society so I wondered why ? The book explains his development. I have since bought his travels round the Tropic of Capricorn which is extremely perceptive. I also bought Step by Step for an ex Colleague who had had a stoke and was on a journey back to speaking and feeling very low.
